Global eSIM ranking: twelve providers compared

Every provider here sells data that works across many countries on one eSIM. We scored each on six criteria from their own published terms and plan pages, checked on October 27, 2026.

TonMobile tops the ranking with a 9.1 score, ahead of Airalo and Saily. It wins on payment options and on how many ways you can buy, while Ubigi scores highest on coverage and Airalo leads for calls and texts. Scores reflect published terms, not speed tests.

What the ranking says

  • TonMobile scores highest overall: 180+ countries, global and unlimited plans, card or crypto, and a Telegram bot alongside the apps.
  • Airalo is the choice when you need calls and texts on a global package.
  • Saily adds security tools from the NordVPN team and year-long packages.
  • Holafly suits heavy users who want no data cap, with a 1 GB daily hotspot limit.
  • Nomad Global-EX and Ubigi World serve long trips and monthly subscribers.
  • Yesim, Roamless, Jetpac, Breeze, MobiMatter and Maya add fixed, pay-as-you-go and unlimited options. Where a provider does not publish a payment or refund detail, it scores lower on that criterion.

Rating FAQ

Why does TonMobile rank first in this ranking?

TonMobile scores 9.1 on average, the highest of the twelve. It covers 180+ countries with local, regional and global plans, accepts cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and crypto, and can be bought in Telegram, the iOS and Android apps or the browser.

Which global eSIM lists the most countries?

Ubigi, Roamless, Jetpac and MobiMatter each list 200+ destinations or countries; Ubigi lists World plans for more than 200 destinations. TonMobile lists 180+ countries and Airalo 168 countries and networks for its global packages.

How often is the rating updated?

We recheck plan pages and terms when a provider changes its offer and at least every few months. The date at the top of the page shows the latest review, currently October 27, 2026.

Which provider is best if I need a phone number?

Airalo scores highest for extras because some of its global packages include calls and texts. Saily offers an optional US number after identity verification. TonMobile, Holafly and Ubigi are data only.

Is an unlimited global eSIM really unlimited?

Unlimited plans come with limits. Holafly caps hotspot sharing at 1 GB per day and applies a fair usage policy, and TonMobile reduces speed on unlimited plans after a set threshold. Read the plan terms before you buy.
